QUINTA CRASTO VINHA DA PONTE WINE 2016
Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, in Quinta do Crasto, it is a property with around 130 hectares, 70 of which are occupied by vineyards. Also part of the company's assets are Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira, in the Douro Superior, with 114 hectares of vineyards.
With a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As is often the case with the great Douro Quintas, the origins of Quinta do Crasto date back to distant times - the name Crasto derived from the Latin "castrum", which means Roman fort.

Tasting Note Quinta do Crasto Vinha da Ponte 2016 is a wine with a deep violet color, where we can find elegant aromas of wild fruits, well integrated with fresh notes of spice and soft notes of cocoa. A harmonious wine that begins the tasting in perfect balance, evolving into a wine of great volume and solid structure, where we find tannins with a velvety texture. A complex wine that finishes elegant, fresh and very persistent. A wine with a unique terroir, which reflects the enormous complexity and depth of Vinha da Ponte.
